PA BourBIN proudly presents a special release: a 6.5 yr single barrel Kentucky rye whiskey, bottled in partnership with River Roots, and dedicated in memory of Officer Brian Shaw.

Crafted from a 100% Kentucky rye mashbill, this barrel stood out to our tasting panel for its warm, nostalgic notes reminiscent of fresh-baked apple pie—rich with spice, fruit, and a touch of sweetness.

As part of this release, we’re donating $10 from every bottle sold to the Officer Brian Shaw Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that honors his legacy and supports community initiatives.

This is more than a bottle—it’s a tribute with purpose.

This release is a direct follow-up to our acclaimed debut, The Prologue, and shares the same legendary “Buff-Turkey” mash bill—only this time, aged nearly three years longer for deeper complexity.

At 16.5 years old, this single barrel showcases exceptional structure and refinement. Well composed like fine china. The flavor profile is rich and balanced, offering mature oak, dark fruit, vanilla, and layers of spice that unfold gracefully at every sip.

The name is a nod to a beloved PA BourBIN member and his Italian heritage—bold, rooted, and unforgettable.

PA BourBIN is hitting the road again—this time to Cleveland, Ohio! After recent trips to Dream Spirits and The Reveries, a new group of PA BourBIN members will be visiting River Roots, one of the first distilleries to support our Pennsylvania-based bourbon club.

Known for their premium selections and attention to detail, Valentine has partnered with us to offer access to 10-year MGP cask strength bourbon barrels—a rare and exciting opportunity for our members.
